On Tuesday 21st July Creative Community Concepts partnered up with the Office of Sport and NSWRL to deliver Community Footy Fun Days. It was the first opportunity the CCC staff had to get back on the road and deliver events into communities. And you can certainly tell the communities of Collarenebri, Lightning Ridge and Walgett have certainly missed there sport given the number of people who turned out for these events. We began in Colly and set up sanitizing stations at each activity, roped off entrance to registration table and enforced social distancing wherever we could to make the events as safe as it can possibly be. This however didn’t stop the kids from having lots of fun and in fact were enforcing the rules themselves and helped clean all equipment after each round. They were treated with Laser Tag, Fast 4 Tag and League skills with Ronny ‘Rambo’ Gibbs and the little 0-5 year old’s enjoyed the Footy For Fun.
The days were then mirrored in Lightning Ridge and Walgett and saw over 200 attendees across the 3 events. CCC would like to thank the communities for supporting the events and was extremely pleasing to see such a strong contingent of families enjoying each afternoon.
